How to Negotiate Your Personal Bailout
Anna Hennings | Excelle
The terms bailout and stimulus seem to be crowding every news agency & political blog that currently exists. And yes, now Excelle, too. But with reports of disapproval, disagreements and ever-fluctuating numbers, piecing together what President Obama’s $819 billion economic stimulus package — aplenty with spending programs and tax cuts — actually promises America and how it will affect you is probably a task for which you have neither the time or the patience.
Hopefully, I can help you understand how you can take advantage of what the plan has to offer.

The credits mentioned are not new credits from the Stimulus package. These have been available for taxpayers to utilize. It is great for the people eligible to take them. Jobs from the stimulus package is not clearly defined. Is this money going to be a grab bag grant system. The news reads of this becoming a pork barrel project fund. It appears that is going to help back on the East Coast, and not so much out in the Western or Mid-Western states. I am wondering who is influencing this, and if it is their own states interest they are looking after rather than the entire country's. The fact the Senate and Congress approved billions to banks without bailout plans is not making me secure in my feelings about giving out another bunch of money with no clear plan on expenditure.

Would KimberlyM suggest MORE tax cuts, as those have clearly not worked for the past 8 years? Even if the jobs are infra-structure related, there are still quite a few jobs to be created well before 2011 in the way of administrative/IT/computer support to the engineers and other technical fields that creating the plans to upgrade the bridges, roads and water/electrical supply systems in our country. As it currently stands, we are running on borrowed time (or does no one remember the bridge collapse in Minnesota or the crumbling levees in New Orleans?).
We have to take responsibility for fixing our country and making it the place we want to be. Does it mean that some of us will have to get off our butts and agree to work outside in the heat and rain? Yes, probably so. Does it mean I look forward to doing that? Not really. But I will if means a decent paying job ($25+/hour) and means the betterment of our way of life. Get a clue folks: no one is going to magically come in and fix this for us, we had better take the bull by the horns and get to work!

WHO will the employers be, Wal-Mart & McDonalds?
WHAT will we do with low income jobs, work 2 jobs for the price of one?
WHEN will they be available, before I loose everything or after?
WHERE will these jobs be, in rural areas or urban?

Sounds like we have one of the negative thinkers that approved of the Bush administration that got us into this mess in the first place in our mists. I have read the the bill and there was a lot less fat than I have seen in the last 8 years!

Wow.. I wonder if the author actually has READ the bill. I highly doubt it. I have read it.. it is mostly PORK spending that will NOT create new jobs OR retain current jobs. And how does the author figure that 42% of the jobs will go to women?? Did Obama say that? Or Pelosi??
Before believing the hype ladies.. please read through the bill yourselves.. you'll see exactly the kind of NON-stimulus amendments that are in it. It is going to do nothing but wreak havoc on our country for years to come. Do you really want your children and their children and their children paying for PORK???
