Forget trying to “be like men.” According to a new study, women who act like a lady are far more likely to succeed. The study asked 80 men and women about their personality while they were studying for a post-grad degree in business administration. Eight years later, they checked in with the group and found that the women who were more aggressive in their approach were less likely to have been promoted.

Acting like men is described as “oozing with self confidence” and “assertiveness,” while being more like a lady is all about being “meeker,” less of a “go-getter.”
