About Me
Who I am: Since 9 years old have created things. At age 11 won a horse show poster prize, published internationally 2 poems at 21 years, ballet company member while in college/held summer & semester biological & scientific research internships, co-published research on nitro-phenol degrading bacterium as an undergrad, and 7 years later & Co-Inventor JadeDevice & most recently very new at Entrepreneurship. What I do 8 hrs+ a day: Talent Managers say that they haven't seen a resume quite like mine. The diverse nine years process, method, and procedural expertise are earned in the Biotech, Medical Device & Pharmaceutical industries. Functioning as a scientist in the lab early in my career, I tested active pharmaceutical ingredients for identity, purity, activity & potency. Simultaneously testing laboratory & computer systems for compliance got me interested in validation/verification. (Essentially testing stuff to make sure it met all critical performance and compliance FDA requirements). Since that time, I have had expert roles which include: project/test manager, quality control, auditor, & even technical liaison in complex and highly regulated user environments to make sure technical experts communicate successfully above, below & across the organization. Strengths: Understanding human nature, and how people use systems in the actual world, vs. the theoretical one. Spare time anyone? Hike/Run/walk & bike with baby & husband of course! Read American Society for Quality articles/study for certification, Bake/Cook (when hungry), Learning an instrument (harmonica), sketch/paint, Ballet (when my studio re-opens). Market our JadeDevice! Improvement areas: Tend to be driver for perfectionism which leads to way too much attention to the details. Improvements Action Plan: Motherhood is teaching me how to do more with less time. Time is THE primary resource; I'm learning to value it more.
