Looking For Your First Job?
It’s elusive and ephemeral and yet such a necessary step to asserting yourself independently in the world. Well, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve been through the process and know it can be frustrating and unwieldy, but you should know that following your best judgment and exercising good job search skill such as preparing in advance, knowing your skills and interests, extensively researching opportunities, and asking the right questions will land you at a great job that will kick-start your career.
At this point, you are probably asking yourself many questions. For one, you might not know what you want to do. Or what you’re qualified for. Or what to expect in terms of salary and benefits. Maybe you don’t know what you should be looking for in a first job: Should it be something you’re passionate about or something you can you learn from? Is looking for both realistic? Which industries are on their way up? Down and out?
So many questions! Excelle’s here to help you sort it out and land that great first job you deserve.

I just discovered a great resource for new grads/first-time job seekers. It's a brand-new book called Grads: Take Charge of Your First Year After College. It covers all the career stuff we need to know but it also has financial advice and lots of tips just on 'life' stuff. The e-book version is free during May09. I highly recommend every grad gets a copy before plunging into the 'real world' unprepared! It's at www.QwikSmarts.com.
