Have you ever arrived at work and realized you forgot something small, yet critical, at home? Like your I-must-have-it-everyday-or-I’ll-die chapstick? Or a bobby pin, just in case your perfectly coiffed hairdo goes awry? Well, here is Excelle’s list of office essentials — must-have supplies to stash away at your desk to help you avoid those minor panic moments in the future.
Stila Jade Powder Hair Refresher
Beauty Supplies
Dry Shampoo
Available in spray or powder forms, dry shampoo will absorb excess oil and build-up, making your ‘do’ matte while giving it a voluminous boost. Some varieties also claim to strengthen your tresses and soothe your scalp! When you need to boost your coif in the morning or on your way out for dinner and drinks from the office – it’s dry shampoo to the rescue!

CoverGirl Eyelash Curler
Eyelash Curler
An eyelash curler (and a travel-size tube of mascara, if you’re feeling adventurous) might be the difference between an ordinary happy hour or lunch date and a fabulous one. Giving your eyelashes a quick curl before you head out to your after-work plans helps open up your eyes – making you look more awake – and keeps your eye make-up looking fresh.
Chantecaille Brilliant Gloss Collection
Price: $4
Available at: Drugstore.com
Lip Balm/Gloss
You never know when you’ll get to the office sans lip balm. Maybe you switched bags or purses at the last minute and left your favorite chapstick in the bag you didn’t take with you. So that’s why it’s always good to have a balm and a gloss at your desk, for the mid-day moments when your lips need gentle a refresher.Price: $65

Hey! I find that hand sanitizer gel, tissues, mini hairspray and perfume are also must haves! Sometimes a nail file or clipper comes in handy too!

I'd like to add an emery board, fingernail clippers, clear nail polish, & a sewing kit to the list.

good list...i'm surprised that I have most of these items either in my purse , my desk or in the exercise bag I bring to work every day. I like the idea of dry shampoo and also the oil blotting towels. This time of year perhaps we should stock a supply of those medical masks for the times sick co-workers decide they don't want to waste THEIR sick leave, and come in and make US sick....(don't get me started)....

Don't forget the mints in the drawer for that unexpected planning meeting with your boss where you or your boss may need that mint. I remember my boss not always having the freshest breath and sometimes she would get really close to me to chat and this is a nice way to give your breath a break as well as hers/his.
