I need a refresher course! I got an A+, but not 100%. I want to be an editor when I grow up, so I want to be perfect!

"By ten o’clock that morning, I had drunk three cups of coffee." Sounds much too awkward-- it may be correct, but it is not aesthetically pleasing.

I thought it was very helpful. I am insecure about my grammar and it showed me I was as ignorant as I thought. However, I do not understand the answer to number 9. What is wrong with the third choice? I thought it was the correct answer.

I thought it was pretty challenging. I started recalling sentence diagrams from Grammar and Composition class.

The first time I took it, I didn't do so hot, the second time was much better. I have always considered myself to have good grammar skills. It drives me nuts when I hear people say "I seen". I really have to be careful to not fall into that trap when I'm around people who use poor grammar.

Fairly good quiz. The (shortened) adage of "Use it or lose it" is appropriate for grammar. A lazy tongue and improper use of grammar is easy to fall into when living in Arkansas or any other southern state (yes, I know some will be offended by this statement). I battle it everyday! The worst part is that the employers (college-educated or otherwsie)
I've had in Arkansas don't really value correctly spoken or written words and grammar.
