10 Reasons Why It's Better To Be a Man

Tania Khadder

May 07, 2009

1. Men are bigger and stronger

I know, because I’ve lost arm-wrestling matches to even the puniest ones. The reason for the variance in size? Natural selection. You see, men had to compete with one another for female mates, which weeded out the weaker ones. The result? A man will rarely have to struggle with opening a jar, lifting furniture or lugging a heavy suitcase. Not only are they born stronger, but it’s easier for them to get stronger, since testosterone boosts muscle growth. But hey, stronger doesn’t mean tougher, judging by how they react to even the slightest hint of a cold symptom.

Number 2: Happier>>

i found this article to be very funny. but, some is not true. whether aa guy trys to apply himself is his buisness. though like you said, women do have strong wits, and we care for our future. unlike, most guys. :)

Adam and Eve were frolicked in the Eden garden, the God approached them and said:
    - My children, I have two gifts for you, but you should decide which one you would like to have. The first gift – an ability to pee standing.
Adam started shout loudly, that he wishes to pee standing and that was a dream of his all life. Eve has conceded.
Happy Adam started running around the garden, rejoicing, jumping, shouting, peeing everywhere, on trees, on flowers, on every small insect and simple on the earth! Eve stand in silence next to the God. They both watched together this madness. After some time Eve asked:
    - My Lord, but what is the second gift?.
    - Brains, Eve. Brains.! the God answered… But we have to give it to Adam as well, Eve… other wise he will never stop peeing!

Please try not to get your statistics from Psychology Today--they're biased. Most people know that. http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/genderequity/equityMaterials/gray.pdf. They even try to refute this research...I find it hard to believe that all of these studies were wrong too. Nice try to say that even those studies reflect the fear of not being PC enough! God, when will people learn to think for themselves. Men are NOT smarter than women. And, please, tall people are smarter? One only has to think about the intelligence levels of some of the shorter vs. taller people one knows in daily life to know that that is ridiculous. Please, can we move away from the questionable field of evolutionary psychology too, already? Most importantly, anyone who has ever done any real research in psychology can tell you that the results can and frequently are skewed to produce the outcome desired. So, before you quote (or believe) an article or a study, read the other studies too, and consider the source. Psychology/Science/Life 101.

Personally, I think the author's decision to write this article for their gender counterpart made it so much more interesting. Kudos to you both.

You know, none of my female friends talk trash about each other or even about people we don't like (unless they're politicians). I also never seem to hear other women doing it, despite the stereotype. I'm not sure if its midwestern nice that stills the trashy tongues around here or the fact that we're all engineers, but I pity any women who thinks that having back-stabbing, trash-talking "friends" is the norm. Sounds to me that some people need to find some new friends, or learn how to actually be one.

I got a chuckle when I read #5 in the mens category; he's always right. I love that since it seems my husband to always argue with me no matter how I prove it. djcldnine43

Yes it is a man's world but I am doing everything I can to change that. Read "Winning in a Man's World" and see some things women can do to help themselves.
One other point, men may have larger brains but the number of neurons in our brains is identical so size is not a factor. In fact, it may take longer for thoughts to cross those larger neurons.
