A quick and easy way to budget!

I know it is hard for us all to save. Believe me I am one to search for better ways to save and buget,but then all I do is look. I don't use what I have learned. I had a friend mention to me one day how she was able to pay her bills and save for a cruise all at the same time.
Envelope budgeting!
1. Buy some envelopes. It does not matter what size they are or if they have pictures on them.
2. Write down your bills and how much you have to pay each month.
3. Divide the amount for the bill by how many weeks are in the month.(usually four). This is the amount you will have to put in the envelope each week.
4. Take the envelopes and dedicate one to every bill. You can write down the name of the bill to help keep it organized.
5. If you want to add one for saving for a vacation,shopping,etc. then add another envelope for that too..
6. Now all you have to do is proceed with putting the money in the envelope each week. And you have done quick and easy budgeting. You won't over draw your bank account or use money for something wasteful.

This really works. I started the same system when my husband and I were married. It was an easy way to combine our incomes and bills. I also started my brother in-law on it when he went into major debt. He's now 90% free and clear of all creditcards!
