Cutest Pets of Take Your Pet to Work Day

If you’re a lucky owner of a furry four-legged companion (or a few of them!), you probably understand the heart-wrenching guilt of having to leave them at home all day while you’re working.

Oh, how they suffer. No one to toss a toy around for them. No one to take them outside … or to let them back in. No laps to nap on. No one to follow around the house. You get the picture. And if you get stuck at the office late or indulge in an after-work cocktail, they starve almost to death (just ask them!), and grow even antsier (if possible!).
Pets aren’t human but, more often than not, we treat them like it. And it’s obvious they experience spells of loneliness, which they fully enjoy taking out on you in the form of bites, scratches, and other unacceptable behavior.
But when it comes down to it, they just miss you!
I’ve always wondered what my cat does while I’m away at work all day. Think she wonders about me? Now our pets have a chance to see what we do while we’re away from the house all day!
Pet Sitters International’s Take Your Dog (or Pet!) to Work Day has been on the job since 1999. According to TakeYourDog.com, the “holiday” was originally “created to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to encourage their adoption from humane societies, animal shelters and breed rescue clubs. This annual event encourages employers to experience the value of pets in their workplace for this one special day to promote pet adoptions.”
Last Friday, June 26th, was this year’s celebration. In honor of our loving and loyal companions, here’s a slide show of the most adorable little coworkers ever. Careful — you’ll want to pet them through the computer screen!

I know what my dog and cat do all day when no one is home. First there is the long nap on my side of the bed, evidenced by the amount of hair left, I swear I could make another small animal of the amount they both shed. Next there is snacking, food bowls have large dents in them. Next, chase one another around the house for a few minutes, evidenced by end tables and rugs being askew. Then comes toy time, yes my animals have their own toy boxes, and usually all the toys are strewn over the living room, some buried in the sofa cushions. Lastly is another long nap, again on my side of the bed, more hair. This is generally where we find them on return home, lying together on the bed, they both look up at us with guilty sleepy eyes, and immediatly jump apart like they are the worlds worst enemies. We humans are not to know that they enjoy one another's company when no humans are around.

I have a big dog. He is great! Take him to work - Uh, probably not a good idea, even though it would make the work day - lively at the least!

Awww, babies!! I am at work right now and wish I were home with my beagle and three kitties! When I'm at home working my beagle will sit on the chair with me, behind me, sort of as a lumbar support. He's the perfect size! And I can always count on my cats to lay right on top of whatever I'm working on :)

"100% cuties! They all r able to keep anyone smiling whole day! Tnx a lot 4 sharing! Btw can anyone suggest where I can find online consultancy from a good veterinary for my cat? My cat is 8 years old, and now he is not feeling good, coughing, breathing very hard, not eating anyfink, lost his weight (in a week, almost 6 kg!) and i dunno how to help him. We are living in Central Asia and in my city there are only 3 clinics, very bad one... no equipment or even medicines. I'm so worries, 'cose he is not getting better. I would really appreciate anyone's help. This cat is my all...
