This book woke me up, shook me up, and picked me up from a year-long funk. I really was able to understand on a much deeper level that I'm not alone. All the help I need is in me, around me, and within those who love me. Oh, and food is an understandable escape. Buy this, read this, and give it to those you love.

What an inspirational book that teaches us to slow down and find little joys in life. Many times during this book I was inspired by the authors words. A great read for personal reflections!!

One of the best books I have read. With everything she went through most people can identify with her search in one way or another. Reminds me that no matter how much you try to plot out the perfect life...some of the best things happen when you have no plan.

This book was awesome it made me realize the important things in life and how I need to handle them.

I read this book some time ago and can not say enough good things about how Liz has taken a woman's journey to the depths and the heights of the inner search and made it palatable for us all. It is so well written! Every woman should read this (and I never say that!)

a must read book for women and men. Elizabeth Gilbert has done an awesome job of defining "thoughts and emotions" in a human level. Lots of subtle lessons that are needed to be learned; if only we can.

A good read. Describes the real pleasures in life and I like how she brings the mediation to you no matter what religion you practice.

Just looking at the cover, lets me know that this person is living their life to the fullest.

I was not impressed with the book. I enjoyed the eat section only because I've been to Italy 4 times and could relate to what she was saying.

I think that this is a GREAT book. Like the author, I am very detail-oriented and I can relate to how she organized the book and the significance of her "numbers" (described in the introduction). I looked to this book for inspiration before I even started reading it and was pleasantly surprised to receive it. This certainly isn't a "make-you-feel-superficially-happy-for-five-minutes-after-reading-it" kind of book but one that takes you through a variety of emotions and levels of awareness - and this is what I admire about it. Kudos, Elizabeth Gilbert...I am officially a fan.

I need to finish this book. So far it touches in places I thought I would never understand. Great weekend read.

I loved this book! Such an inspirational book and made me realize how important life is.

When I started to read this book, I thought she was writing my life. (At least the first 2 chapters) I laughed, I cried and I totally related. Definately on my top 10 list.

Inspirational-A must read for all women!

I thoroughly enjoyed Elizabeth's journey through divorce and coming out whole.

I didnot like this book. My mother-in-law bless her heart gave it to me for a gift one year. And I thought wow this looks great. But it just wasn't what I thought it was going to be. For a book on one's spiritual enlightenment she was very self-absorbed in other things. I got past 4 chapters and just couldn't hac it anymore.

This is absolutely an amazing book. I haghly recommend it if you have not read it!!

I loved this book because it reminded me of how life should be lived- with great friends, good food, and lots of laughs. I strongly recommend reading it.

This a great book to read, both male and female! I've noticed some of theses things that females go through in this book!
I'm a man, but I have grown to have this sort of female sense of things. There some guys that think I'm weird or gay or something. I never felt gay, but I have liked having girls and women as friends. I enjoy having friendships with women in the same way that women are friends with other women.
