A bit of a cop-out to reproduce such a successful story. And Keira Knightley's persistent pout is about the most annoying thing about the movie. I'd watch the Colin Firth version anyday.

At first I thought to myself, "I will never watch this! It will not do justice to Jane at all!" It was on tv one night, and I sat down, and was surprisingly impressed. It's authenticity was a little off, but other than that. Plus, MacFadyen was quite striking *v*

This is a great movie! It really tells you what can happen when you jump to conclusions about someone or something. Just like the saying goes "You should never judge a book by its cover".

Colin Firth as Mr Darcy can never be replaced but good interpretation by Keira Knightley and, as always, the story deserves acclaim.

Jane Austen is my favourite author of all time and this film is one I return to again and again as I just love the dynamics between Elizabeth and Darcy. Their story is one of such hope and inspite of their very different backgrounds, it shows how similar we can be, when love is involved.
