I absolutely loved this movie... 2 1/2 hours and I still wasn't ready for it to be over!!! Saw it opening weekend and am ready to see it again!

I thought this movie was great but I don't think it quite met the hype. Heath Ledger's performance stole the show and I'm not sure that it was just because of his untimely death. He simply played the role of the Joker like it was nobody's business. Christian Bale is a hottie which made it that much better. LOL Overall, I really enjoyed it. This movie depicted the real Batman.

I really enjoy the Batman movies and was anxious to see this one, especially with all they hype but it was just ok/good. It seemed to be lacking something and it was just too long. There were several points where I thought it was over, only for it to continue. As for the Joker, I think I enjoyed Jack Nicholson's version more but that's just me.

I loved this movie!!! I did not think it was too long, and the performances were amazing! I never thought it'd have that much comedy in it either. I got a few good laughs. Saw it twice in theaters-once due to crappy seats the 1st time, it was packed and sat 2 rows from the screen, and the second time cuz it was that awesome!

OK...I'm a BIG movie-goer (mostly for the popcorn). And when I saw this movie, I LOVED IT! I especially loved the character of the Joker (the nurses outfit topped it all off). This character was SO convincong that at the end of the movie I asked my boyfriend, "who was that new actor playing the Joker? He was REALLY good." If looks could kill, I would probably be dead! I don't watch as much TV, so I didnt' even know that was Heath Ledger. His last role was so well done and I'm sorry he's gone...

The Joker mad this movie worth the long drawn out plot. I kind of wish they gave Two Face more of a interaction towards the end. But, it lives up to the hype. Johnny Depp might play the Penguin in the nest movie can't wait.

this one and the one with jack and pffiefer was the best overall...good one...

Loved this movie. I was skeptical with all the hype, but Heath did a hauntingly fantastic job. Christian Bale, as always, is the perfect person to play such a dark character.

This was overhyped in spades. Heath Ledger played a decent Joker, but without the humour that Jack Nicholson carried with the role. I keep seeing groups (on Facebook) supporting an Oscar nod for him, but no one gets an Oscar for an action film and his performance wasn't on par with an Academy nod. The story line wasn't bad, but it was darker than I thought necessary; it seemed as though they were trying overly hard to make it gloomy, and that never works.
It all depends on who you ask, however. My husband loves it. I love Batman, and I love Christian Bale in the role, but this was not my favorite in the series of films.

I liked this one more than the others because of the action. The Joker was really menacing, although not as comedic as any of the other Jokers. I liked Commissioner Gordon's character a lot, but I didn't care for Batman's voice: too raspy. His character was good, though he was kind of irradic personality wise.

Very rich and layered story line. Heath Ledger was fabulous as a souless, creepy, intelligent, psychotic. Anyone looking for laughs, went to the wrong movie. This movie was intetionally dark and brooding, and it DELIVERS!

I absolutely loved this movie- it was well done! I like the old batmans fine but the new ones I look forward to watching and buying!

This was an amazing movie!!! I saw it three times in the theaters, and was on the edge of my seat at each screening. Heath Ledger and Chris Bale are both outstanding in their roles. The story is seamless, and I don't know how they can possibly make another movie that can top this!

I thought the movie dragged on.... scenes went overboard. I lost interest in the movie and didn't finish watching it; unusual for me not to watch movies to the end. I think Heath Ledger was an exceptional actor! Maybe the hype of it being his last movie set my expectations too high.

I absolutely loved this movie. It is full of non stop action, and it definitely kept my attention the whole time. Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker. His character was downright chilling, and the portrayal was intense. I would reccomend this movie to anyone, whether they were a fan of the bat or not.

I like the new batman series, and The Dark Knight was excellent from the storyline, through the actors and right down to the musical score. My only complaint was that they couldn't get Katie Holmes back for Rachel. Maggie Gyllenhall was great, but the difference was glaringly apparent from one movie to the next. But what else could they have done??

I was sad that Heath Ledger did not win an award for his role in this movie. If he were still alive today, I believe people would still be talking about his portrayal of the joker just as they are now. Really by far his most compelling work. "You wanna see a trick? I'm gonna make this pencil disappear!"
