Description:

On a country road in Ireland over ten years ago, it was love at first sight for Holly, a lost young tourist (Academy Award® winner, Hilary Swank), and Gerry, a charming local lad (Gerard Butler). Hollys formidable mother, (Kathy Bates), disapproved of the couple, concerned that her spirited daughter was too young for marriage. In the years since, the once fearless Holly has become unsure of her own identity. When Gerry dies with a brain tumor and leaves Holly a widow just shy of her thirtieth birthday, her family and best friends (Lisa Kudrow, Gina Gershon) are concerned that she will never emerge from her takeout container-strewn Manhattan apartment. After weeks holed up watching old movies, a birthday cake and tape recording message from Gerry mysteriously arrives, marking the beginning of a series of letters instructing her to perform unusual requests. With the help of her girlfriends, Holly begins a year of wild adventures and a life journey that Gerry has planned for her, helping her to discover who she is without him and reminding her - p.s. I Love You. P.S. I Love You is based on the best-selling novel by Cecelia Ahern.

I love this movie. I kind of hated Hilary Swank's character at first but it didn't take long for me to really feel connected to her. Her husband in the movie is also the guy who plays the main character in the movie 300 and OMG! I told my husband after watching this that I have a new found love for Irish rockers. Lol!

Awesome movie...if only there were more hot Scottish men portraying Irishmen out there. It was good to see a movie about husband who takes an interest in his wife's mourning and recovery process with humor and love.

I give this 3 for the sole purpose that the book was so amazing, no movie would be able to come close...and this one really doesn't. However, having said that, Gerard Butler is the only shining light in the movie and is much like I imagined that character to be as I read it.
Do yourself a favor and read the book!!!!

A fun movie. Cheesy at times, but I loved Gerard Butler in this, so more of a guilty pleasure.

I love this movie!! It's not the best romance movie, critically-speaking, that I've ever seen, and I'm choosy about my chick flicks, but this one makes me cry every time, I start crying three minutes into the movie! It moves my heart and soul! My favorite line: "Now, alone or not, you've got a walk ahead; thing to remember is, if we're all alone, then we're all together in that, too."
