It is hard to admit to yourself that you were wrong. And also when you realize you have really hurt the ones you love...it tears your heart apart.

This is funny, but today I learned that you should replace your tennis shoes every 6 months to a year. Nike has a recycling plant for tennis shoes; they break the shoes down and turn them into materials used to construct running tracks, basketball courts and tennis courts!  I think that's so cool --

I learned some of the reasons (i.e. when do you use them) behind basic hand techniques in Tae Kwon Do.

I learned that Costa Ricans drink beer with lemon and salt, and there is one brewery in Costa Rica, and NO ONE drinks American Beer there, except maybe Corona.

I also learned that when I took the "Strengths Finder 2.0" Test, I am someone who needs new info all the time, I come up with lots of ideas, and put them into play, as well as being an organizer, but also very adaptable.

Maki you are so true.....! Life has a way of making sure ya stay humble.

I've learned that stupidity, bigotry and other unpleasant aspects of humanity are incredibly contagious.  Love, pleasantness and acceptance are much harder to spread, but well worth trying!

Learned that the theoretical supercontinent containing all of the land mass of the Earth (before it broke up and we had continental drift) is called Pangaea, meaning all-earth.  Also learned that the breaking up of this land mass occurred during the Jurassic period.

I learned how to build a chicken coop!!  It is not easy! but it was very fun!

I also learned that for chickens to have such small brains they sure do know how to get away when they want. I still havent caught her....lol

Instead of looking around at others and distrusting ourselves, we should trust what we know within ourselves.

Ha! I learnt that chickens have a small brain!

I have also learnt that graduate level classes are the most challenging fun I think I've had in a while. Besides learning to skii...

 I learnt that people use capsaicin (the stuff that makes peppers hot) as a pain killer! News article here on BBC.

Honey, peanut butter,  and cinnamon as a dip for apples is a great (and healthy) treat!

I used to go to a healthfood shop in Austin, Texas that sold sandwiches made with brown bread, natural peanut butter, bananas, natural honey and bean sprouts.  Yum, yum!!

I learned again that the world is a smaller place than it used to be, and that we can reach out to one another with love no matter how many miles or hours separate us.
