Posted about 1 year ago Not only do I love my chocolate, I love my veggies. For me if chocolate were a vegetable, it would be the almighty potato! You can have potatoes anyway - scalloped, au gratin, mashed, french fried, etc. I like versatility in my chocolate and I like versatility in my potatoes! |

| Posted about 1 year ago I think it would be a good vegetable we all like, sweet potatoes? anyway, chocolate is used in mole sauce so it has snuck onto the dinner plate. And it is now reported to be good for you, the dark stuff anyway. right on! |

| Posted about 1 year ago My love for chocolate is well-known among my friends. This week a friend gave me a pink t-shirt with "I could give chocolate up, but I'm not a quitter!" How very cute. If chocolate were a vegetable? How about peas or carrots? I think I will stick with chocolate covered strawberries! Or how about instead of caramel on apples, it would be chocolate sprinkled with nuts? Oh gosh, now I want some chocolate. Excuse me, while I get some Dove chocolate. Theresa-Maria Napa, CPCC, LOACC

| Posted about 1 year ago Hmmm chocolate…equals craving in vegetables??? I will have to consider the choices as I read and eat a few Trader Joe’s, ‘Milk Chocolate Chips’. For me, most likely a toss between yams and sweet yellow corn…the organic possibilities. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Well after reading everyone's thoughts on which it would be I think I'd have to go with the "tomato". As one mentioned, why not because one could have it with just about everything. Hamburgers, all italian dishes pretty much, sandwiches; just think about it the next time someone has a BLT. :-D |

| Posted about 1 year ago OK...Chocolate should always be chocolate. Especially when I am PMSing! The problem here is with what they classify as veggies. |

| Posted about 1 year ago It would make you happy to know that chocolate was once a bean, a cocoa bean! Though it doesnt taste quite so sweet at that point. It grows on a tree call Theobroma Cacao, which translates to "Food of the Gods" how appropriate, because chocolate is so heavenly.
TxDrling says ... Wouldnt it be nice if we could grow chocolate beans. :-) |

| Posted about 1 year ago Reading this thread is making me hungry! If chocolate were a veggie, I'd have to say it would have to be a veggie that I love almost as much as chocolate. It would have to be broccoli! I'm always eating broccoli cause I know it's good for you. Then again, so isn't the dark chocolate! Loaded with antioxidants! Think I'm gonna get some after work today! |

| Posted 4 months ago Lucky ladies!! Chocolate IS a vegetable! Does it not grow on trees? The cacao bean brings us chocolate. It is now even subsidized with milk so not only do you get your veggies, but you also get your calcium! Chocolate is full of anti-oxidants which help to smooth older skin, and helps to fight some cancer. Chocolate is a feel-good treat that also does have some benefits to your health. If you consider feeling good good for your health, which it is, then there's another really good reason to eat it. Check out this article. http://www.hort.purdue.edu/ext/chocolate.html
