| Posted 4 months ago Yes. My boss does not explain himself well at all without going off on a tangent. He also uses the incorrect terminology for certain documents which can mess up business. I look down on him because he does not think that he has a communication problem even though he has to explain himself atleast 3 times to his employees, clients and others that he does business with. In a business communication is key and if you can't do that right you cannot run a business properly or profitably because no one can understand you. Its unprofessional. |

| Posted 4 months ago It depends, in part, on the nature of our relationship. When I'm teaching, I'm concerned both by the content of the communication (verbal and written) and the style. My clients have told me that they never feel that I'm talking down to them, so I am able in those circumstances not to be judgmental. With my children, I expect them to use proper grammar and vocabulary; I do think it sounds ignorant to drop verbs ("I bored" is a favorite line of my daughter's). Jane G. Chambers
