| Posted about 1 year ago when I was in college, and we were on our break from a really tough or boring class I would hit up the vending machine and get myself some peanut M&Ms. I cant tell you how many classes they got me through. My motto...If I ever need religion, I'll worship chocolate cake! |

| Posted about 1 year ago Well I can't say it's a life saver but I can say it definitely does the job when I have no real time to eat and I need a "pick me up" other than the ten cups of coffee I drink a day! |

| Posted about 1 year ago I agree with Angela; there are days when I am so busy at work that I do not get a chance to grab lunch. Chocolate comes to the rescue; a candy bar tides me over until I get home. Not to mention - it tastes great!! |

| Posted about 1 year ago I actually like 85% dark chocolate with chili in it. If you add it to chili, it's great! But I like it alone, too. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Oh, my gosh, Sarah! My best friend's husband makes award winning chili, and the dark chocolate is his "secret ingredient"! How cool that you do that, too! 85% is my favorite, just to have with a hot cup of coffee...I don't require a lot of it, but it is my favorite indulgence. Sometimes I will even chip a little away to stir INTO the coffee...instant mochacchino! http://www.marykay.com/CRabel

| Posted about 1 year ago Have any of you tried IsaDelights? I was a Godiva snob till I found these. They were developed by a holistic, naturapathic doctor that is dedicated to drug free medicine. These little Isadelights are dark chocolate and release endophins, seratonin, dopamine and kava to the brain. They help curb my cravings and are great for that 4pm slump. You can find them at www.mycleanbody.com . These are my little piece of heaven. I have used these in a cleansing program and lost 15 lbs. I am feeling and looking great! |

| Posted about 1 year ago I wish chocolate was a veggie then I could eat it all day long and not feel guilty, my favorite is good old fashioned Hershey chocolate bars with almonds-I think I'm going to go and eat one for breakfast, that'll get my day going right. | Posted about 1 year ago I was laughing at myself when I read the top, "Is chocolate a lifesaver?"...because it may not have saved MY life, but it has certainly saved my husband from time to time, if you know what I mean! http://www.marykay.com/CRabel

| Posted 10 months ago I definitely LOVE the chocolate-covered pretzels!! White or brown chocolate, what a luxurious treat. So far, I crave really good, dark chocolate every month & it's not a good thing if I don't undulge at least a little! It is good for you, in moderation of course. Especially the dark chocolate (less fat). Better go find some right now............................ |

| Posted 10 months ago Haha so true ladies.. but on a serious note - sometimes my friends blood sugar drops really low and in order for her to get above the point of passing out - she either eats a piece of chocolate or has some soda. :P Janelle Lynne

| Posted 8 months ago Absolutely! It may not be CPR, but it certainly does wonders for the heart and soul! Sarah, I agree with you that 85% dark is the way to go. I love it with cayenne or chili in it as well. There is something about the little kick of the spice that makes it so yummy. There is a place here that makes gourmet brownies, and my favorite is their dark chocolate with chili in it. Dark chocolate covered almonds are delicious, too! I gave up all sweets for Lent, and now I am dying after reading these posts. | Posted 8 months ago Stadie says ... Have you ever known chocolate to be a life saver? Ya know, I really hadn't thought about it that way, but................ YES, Chocolate really is a life saver!! I have 3 children, 1 is a teenage boy, and 1 thinks she's a teenager, and I have to say that I know that there has been a situation or 2 where if it wouldn't have been for that sweet lil kiss in my mouth I probably would've screamed. Or those times when you are in the supermarket and the person in front of you has 2 cart overflowing and they have a coupon for EVERYTHING, which is smart, but then they got the wrong version of something and tell the cashier they just have to have it, so they grab the item leave the line and 15 minutes later come back with the correct item and an arm load of new items! Yes this has acutally happened to me! Luckily my husband actually seen the look on my face when the person returned and seen I was about to open my mouth and he quickly put a couple of M&M's in my mouth!! It worked!!!

| Posted 8 months ago If you eat dark chocolate that is 70% cocoa, it has heart health polyphenols which can help increase good cholesterol. I know this to be true because I have an aunt who is severely obese, but because her love of Belgium chocolate, her HDL..is over 100...incredible but true....so I guess in a sense, it could be a life saver. | Posted 8 months ago I am in the process of starting a fudge business with a focus on internet sales, fund raisers, weddings and other special occaisions. What is your perception of fudge in your search for the perfect chocolate fix. Would you buy fudge on line? Would you buy fudge from your local school, sports team group? What do you think about fudge being used in weddings and other special occasions? |

| Posted 8 months ago In response to Blue Monday, chocolate is a vegetable, or rather cacao from which chocolate is made...is a vegetable. The ancient Mesoamericans reecognized that the cacao bean -- and the foods they made from it -- possessed health and energy giving properties. What ruins the food value of chocolate is what is known as a "dutching" process where the cacao is heated (cooked) and mixed with milk products, sugars, waxes, and fillers. The potential health benefits of cacao is astounding. There are hundreds of studies that suggest possible protection or enhancement of virtually every organ and system within the body. Much of this is due to its extremely high antioxidant content. As a master chocolatier, I can assure you that the right chocolate is good for you. You want one that is cold pressed, not heated. Even if it's 70% chocolate if it's been cooked, it's like cooking spinach. Raw spinach is better for you. To my knowledge there is only one cold pressed chocolate on the market and it's delicious.
