Posted 4 months ago MissionThe New Agenda is a non-partisan organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls by bringing about systemic change in the media, at the workplace, at school and at home. GoalsThe New Agenda seeks to achieve safety and opportunity for all women by addressing issues which unite us and by advancing women into leadership roles. How We StartedThe New Agenda was founded on August 11, 2008, when 30 women met in Westchester, New York, to sketch out plans for a new non-partisan women’s rights organization. The attendees were community activists and leaders of women’s organizations from around the country, many of whom had met during Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. It was the painful lessons of that campaign that provided the raison d’être for the new group: to support women for public office, to draw a line in the sand against the sexism and misogyny so much in evidence in 2008, and to build a broad, non-partisan coalition to advance key goals for women. Frequently Asked QuestionsAre men welcome as members? Yes. We welcome all men and women to join us. Are you connected to any political party? No. The New Agenda is 100% non-partisan. We welcome men and women of all parties to join us: Democrats, Republicans, Greens, Libertarians, and any others. What about choice? We welcome men and women of all beliefs regarding reproductive rights. For real? That’s novel. Why? Choice is an issue that’s been used to divide women and take away the power of our collective voices. The New Agenda is about working together on the many issues which unite us. There are numerous organizations that are already devoted to choice.

| Posted 4 months ago Thank you for inviting me to this group! I am listening to the video on New Agenda right now! It's really about time for us, as women, have a real voice. In years gone we had feminists that really worked hard to get us where we are today, but then those hard subjects kind of got settled and now we haven't had a voice in a while! I am extremely happy to hear about The New Agenda! In my business I do have the opportunity to be Independent and show other women how to be Independent as well! I truly encourage anyone who would like to find out about women leader's to actually research Mary Kay Ash, she was an amazing woman and shined in a time when sexism was at it's highest! Thank you again for inviting me. I can't wait to join in discusion's from the wonderful people of this group! Have a Blessed Day, Bonnie Crawford

| Posted 4 months ago Wow.... I can't believe I got such a response back. Don't get me wrong this awesome. I would say let's start, if you gals and even guys, are really interested go to their website and find a local chapter or meetup. I will be posting an interview with the co-Founder Amy Siskind in about a week. She just rocks! That would be a good start. Then we can go from there. but of course the obvious is to always speak upaginst sexism and misogyn whenever it happens and no matter who it happens to. I wish all of you a great 4th of July.

| Posted 4 months ago You know I am in Jess, This is a great opportunity for women, in general. The goals of the new group are lofty, how can I help? I think as time changes all, the perception of the feminist changes as well. I remember growing up and listen to my "alders" talk about feminist in a negative tone, without them even realizing their own judgement towards other women. I don't think that today a feminist needs to be stereotyped as they once were. I would be happy to help Jess, just let me know what you think I can do. Tonie
