I was walking back to the train station today in Soho (in manhattan) after having lunch and wandered by this tiny little cupcake stand right off of broadway on spring street.  The stand is called Cupcakes by Melissa and has become very popular in the lower half of New York city in the past 8 months.  This woman was encouraged by her older brother to begin selling her cupcakes right after she was fired from her job. 

My boyfriend and I were just so impressed with the ingeniousness of her business (as where the many other people taking pictures of the stand) I just had to share it on WomensCo.  I just goes to show that you can make the best out of any situation.  So, if you please, check out the website I've posted below.  Make sure you check out the press section to view a video of her on the Today Show.
