Let's face it, we all get stressed out.

In recent months, I have found that my household stress is very intrusive on my personality and overall ability to relax.  I am prone to anxiety.  This anxiety effects everything from my short-term memory to my ability to sleep.  What do you do to manage your stress; is there a type of excercise that you enjoy?  Is there a particular physical technique that you use to 'unwind'?

Whatever it is...would you share?

I listen to music, read, or watch a funny movie. And I sing.  It gets my mind off what's stressing me out, and makes me feel better. Or I take a walk outside.

Singing certainly helps!  Thanks for your suggestions.

Yoga helps me to relax. Not the twist yourself up in knots forms of yoga, but the gentle easy poses and meditation. Meditation is probably the hardest thing in the world to learn to do, but the simplest and easiest to integrate into any lifestyle. A few minutes spent meditating while on break at work can make the rest of the work day so much calmer.

I like to read when I'm stressed or clean. I am not sure why I like to clean when I'm stressed or upset, but it gets done : ) I like to read because it takes me and my mind someplace else for awhile.
