I wanted to get a man's opinion, is it a positive move for a woman to approach a man and ask him out first letting him know how she feels about him?  Does this give him a sense of feeling like the ball is in his court to treat her any way or will he feel more special later from her honesty about her feelings? I have always waited for a man to ask me out because of this even if I thought he might be intelligent, sweet or even handsome just the same for fear of his reaction.

I think for me it is a  control issue and I never want to feel as though a man thinks he has control over me and I am so head over heals for him that he can do whatever and I wil never walk away because I asked him out first.  I believe in myself and I know if a man is not acting like a man walk away and find the one who will be a gentleman, and the way I was raised a gentleman will always ask a lady out.
