Poll: Should parents know they may have the right to exempt their child(ren) from vaccinations?

I have known about this option, available in most states, (as in link below) for several years now, but it really irritates me to hear it everywhere on the news, radio, and in school documents that vaccinations are mandatory. Many parents are being led to believe that their hands are tied on this issue.

If you are interested in obtaining a vaccination exemption form, check to see if it's available in your state (via link below), then Google "Vaccination Exemption form" and "Your State".

If parents don't know they can exempt themselves from anything- they need to do more research. There is an "out" clause for just about everything. Thats stupid, lazy parenting to just accept something even if they do not agree with it.

Original Poster here: I wouldn't go so far as to call them lazy and stupid, many parents think it's just in their child's best interest and if the state requires it, then it's the best and only option. I don't think that's necessarily lazyness and stupidity - they just don't have the knowledge. Many don't think to question it if they've grown up having shots, giving their children shots and hearing the news and schools say it is manditory - without even mentioning the alternative.

Also, it doesn't help that doctors act like anyone who desides against vaccinations is an idiot. Many of them act the same way about seeking natural treatment, homeopathy, etc. - though they have had little or no experience/research in those areas.
