After 6 interviews- What Then

Posted about 1 month ago After 6 interviews with three different people at the same company, and no news other than we are still interviewing and I will get back to you when I have news. via e-mail. What is the proper thing to do 2 weeks after the above happened.. What is the harm in companies emailing and saying we went with another person or we are no longer are filling this position. Or what ever. It would take the pressure off of waiting to hear something and thinking after 6 interviews you may have a chance. I gues that I am still having a hard time in interviewing and not hearing anything because when I interview people, I would always let someone know yes or no at least by email. What happened to the Golden Rule?? |

| Posted about 1 month ago 6 interviews is excessive. I would say they are nuts. They clearly don't know what they want, they are probing for salary expectations, or are looking for something unrealistic. It sounds strange. Usually 3 interviews is the tops. Unfortunately many employers don't send a thank you letter or "we chose someone whose background meets our needs but thank you anyway," letter. But after 6 interviews and no answer in sight, I would just move on. If they are this crazy before they hire someone how crazy are they after they hire someone? I say move on. |
