I have always wanted to do teachng. We have a university here that has a program that if you teach inner city for 5 years they pay for 80% of your schooling ! Can't beat that. Also, teachers are some of the best people in the world, where would we be without teachers, teaching us the basics in life.

An Associates degree in Early Childhood Education is a stepping-stone if you are looking at making a career in this field. Normally, this is an extensive program that will lead to a wide range of career options and advancement after graduation. Approximately taking two years to complete, an AS degree in Early Childhood Education provides all the necessary training that one would require to teach young children. This would include functional knowledge and understanding of early childhood education through the completion of courses covering curriculum, child development, child center administration, health and safety, and related fields. A general knowledge of science, social science, and languages is often also involved. Since you are working already, you should look into the option of an online or distance learning Early Childhood Education degree. Check out Independence University for online and distance learning programs.
