I need help and advice

Posted about 1 month ago I hope someone can help me or give me some advice. I am living in Mexico because I was in a VERY abusive relationship and sick. Now, 3 and some months later, I want to go back home to the US. Preferably to either Florida or San Diego. I am sending resumes to all the jobs online I know I am qualified to work in. The thing is that I need (or prefer) to have a job before I get there so that I won't have to live at anyone's home (even if it is a friend's or family member's home) for a long time, rather stay for about a month and then move into a studio. Will someone help me or give me some advice, please? Thank you! |

| Posted about 1 month ago Depending on where you are in Mexico may be effecting your job hunt. If I was an employer and saw that you were in Mexico looking for a job in the US, I would wonder. Does she need help with a visa ? Is she authorized to work in the US? Does she expect relocation assistance ? If your answer is no to all of these I would list that on your resume especially if your address or phone number are in Mexico as this may detour someone from hiring you. Do your friends have any leads, you must network, network, network? Or like changing lifestyles said, network here ! What about a temp agency? My friend used to live in San Diego and she used Robert Half & Associates or Account temps (not that i am promoting either). This may land you some temporary work or even a permanent job prior to moving. Keep us posted on how things are going. Good Luck ! |

| Posted 28 days ago Yes, in your cover letter I would definitely mention you are relocating and paying for that cost. This way it does not detour people from your resume. Something will bit eventually. Good Luck ! |
