Vacation notice

Posted 26 days ago I will be leaving for 3 days next week to go on vacation. Has anyone ever written a letter of notification to thier "customers" letting them know that they will not be in the office, but that they do have staff on hand to help them with requests or any issues that might arise?
Thanks! |

| Posted 26 days ago I've done a few of these types of messages. Do you use Outlook or GMail? Both have very easy-to-use vacation replies you can set up... |

| Posted 26 days ago I use outlook. I'll be setting my e-mail so that the messages received will get an out of office notice. I need to send out an e-mail to my customers letting them know that I will be unavailable and with the contact info for the people who will be in the office. I mostly talk to my customers a few times a day on the phone, so most of them will be notified that way too. Just want them to be able to post something for thier other employees that need to call into my call center. |

| Posted 26 days ago How about something like: Hello, I will be out of the office beginning on (date), and returning to the office on (date). Should you require immediate assistance in my absence, please contact:
Otherwise, I will respond to your message upon returning to the office on (date). Best, Signature |

| Posted 25 days ago Yes, I have left a similar message on my voicemail as JForbes. As someone who might be calling, I like to know that you are out until XXX date- so I am not waiting for a return call. Its also good to have the name of your backups should something need immediate attention. |
