Posted 21 days ago I have recently started the process of looking for a job. The problem is I haven't worked a lot, spent the majority of the past 15 years home with my kids. I have a college degree in business, no experience to go along with that and no idea how to write a resume that has very little information to put on it. Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

| Posted 21 days ago Just because you weren't paid for the past 15 years doesn't mean you weren't working. For instance, have you done volunteer work, such as organizing events at your child's school? Did you participate in any fund raisers? Do you have any parti-time work experience? All of these things count. Given the long lapse in your work history, you might be better off using the functional resume where you list several key skills and then examples of your accomplishments in those areas. When using a functional resume, only list skills that are relevant to the job you are applying for. And be sure to demonstrate what the results were. For example, if discussing your fund raising experience, say something like "raised $XX for XYZ Program, surpassing prior year's results by YY%."
