Poll: Are satisfied with your job do you like what you do?

Posted 7 days ago I ask this question because a few of my friends and I were discussing what fulfills us with our job of choice. Some stated of course the financial aspects, others what they do and others how their jobs impact the community. What is your reply? I am very satisfied with what I do because I offer supplemental health insurance. I am an independent associate representing AFLAC. I like helping others where and whenever I can. With AFLAC I can show others how to enhance their current major medical coverage. Also, most people in general do not know a lot about AFLAC although it's been around for over 50 years and also offers Life insurance policies. I only wish my previous employer offered it, which now you can get coverage directly and not just via an employer. So many people live paycheck to paycheck and when a medical emergency hits and the bills begin to pile up there are no options as to how to pay rent, mortgage, gas or even get food. That's where I come in, so yes I love doing what I do and I hope your job does the same for you. What do you do? Clara Walley

| Posted 7 days ago I love what I do (publishing/editorial), but it is very hard to make a decent living at it without compromising personal beliefs from time-to-time. For example, I could probably make twice what I make now if I freelanced and did nothing but ad and copy writing, but then I'd have to write for companies and/or products I didn't believe in. In the long-run it's important to find a balance between making the living you need, getting the things you want, and recognizing that you spend the vast majority of your life working or sleeping - life is to short to be miserable in either arena :) |
