Have any of you been following the shooting in Arizona? I truely believe that the shooter is psychotic. Just looking at his photo gives me the creeps. Everyone seems to be trying to blame his parents for not knowing he was going to kill people. I believe that this is unfair because we as parents are not really trained to see those types of signs in our children. We want to think that are kids could not harm anyone. On the flip side though there is that video of him walking around Pima University where he was recording his rantings about the school. He definitely sounded like he was paranoid about everything. I guess that I can understand both sides of this. Maybe they should have seen the change in his behavior and how eratic it had become but then again he is an adult that could probably come and go as he pleased and did not spend much time with his parents.

On a happier note the progress that the Congresswoman is making is remarkable. They removed her breathing tube and she is sitting up talking. It was not long ago that a person would not have survived this type of injury. But the advances that medicine has made lately are unbelievable not to mention her sheer will to live. Even though the Congresswoman has a long road ahead of her that is not going to be easy she seems to have overcome the biggest hurdle by just surviving.
