Posted about 1 year ago Saturday night is my gaming night and when I turned on my console I got a flashing red light! I'm lost! I usually play until the wee hours of the morning! I was so bummed I went to bed early! I have to contact customer support to take it and fix it - which I have not done yet because I've been busy working and running a child to baseball in the evenings! I had to go back and reconnect my old XBox which is just not the same! Well, I guess I'll just have to go back to the artwork I've been working on! Hey! maybe I'll get those Christmas presents done before December this year! LOL! |

| Posted about 1 year ago That STINKS. I know that recently I forgot to plug in my Nintendo DS, and it ran out of "juice" just as I was sitting down to play. Yes, I am a grown 41 year old woman, but I wanted to cry! (how sad) Phyllis R. Neill, www.shementor.com

| Posted about 1 year ago LOL...all I can do is laugh. I can truly relate, I don't play xbox, playstation or nintendo, but I'm addicted to The Sims for the pc. On friday nights, I sit in front of the pc with chips, juice and blanket, and play the Sims until I fall asleep. My computer crashed about a month ago, and I was devasted. I thought the world had come to an end, what the heck would I do now! I don't watch much TV, and I wasn't sleepy. I finally got tired of pouting, so I went to bed before 10...what did I ever do on a friday night before The Sims?....and to top it all off, when my computer came back up (had to do a system restore - no prior restore points!!!!) - I had lost everything!.......So I can truly relate...I think I need Sims rehab! LOL..........but the sad part is, my son has an xbox and his controller is broken, and he's been harassing me all week to get another, and I fussed at him, telling him he needs to figure out something constructive to do with his time, besides whine over that game! Aint that a mess - the pot calling the kettled black!!!! I should be ashamed! LOL Ms. Antoinette M. Brown I am a divine original fashioned by God to be radiantly beautiful! | Posted about 1 year ago msbrown - LOL! My daughter (19yrs) is addicted to her Sims PC game too! I played it a few times but then we started fighting over the PC time! LOL! So, I went back to my XBox. and relinquished the game to her. I have to laugh at my daughter when she tells me stories about her Sims as if they are real people! Way too funny but I can really relate to it! We chuckle about it all the time and I have to ask her now and then things like "So, what's so-and-so up to?" (referring to one of her characters!) And she goes off telling me all the things this character has done since she last updated me! |

| Posted about 1 year ago leannO, it sounds like you got the rings of death. I am not a gamer but my fiance' plays games on his 360 every now and then. He told me that at one point he got red flashing lights instead of the usual green and found out that they are called the rings of death. Anyway, he contacted Microsoft and they replaced his hardrive. I'm not sure if you have experienced the same but either way it's probably worth calling in to inquire about it. It is Microsoft right? LOL I'm telling you... my ignorance out weighs my knowledge in this area. LauraS told me about Sims and it sounds like alot of fun. I just might become a gamer... in a sense. Need Breeds Ingenuity!

| Posted about 1 year ago LOL...The sims are real people!!! LOL...My lastest Sim is a single woman that works and owns her own business. She's in love with two people, wants to be in love with a 3rd, but fears getting engaged to either one!! I want to be her when I grow up! LOL I'm so upset that the graphics on my PC aren't compatible with a few of the latest games!! I have just about everyone that's been made, but I can't play them all because of the graphics. But I'm really really really considering buying a PC just for the Sims!!! Ms. Antoinette M. Brown I am a divine original fashioned by God to be radiantly beautiful! | Posted about 1 year ago LeeannO, Further to my private message to you, now my 12 year old is claiming that his previous diagnosis that you have the "Red Ring of Death." Now he is saying that further tests are needed. In order to truly diagnose the condition, he says that the "Red Ring of Death" is characterized by a flashing red light that appears as only 3/4's of a circle--not a full circle. So, given KatS' expert advice and my son's expertise (I think he's still in his Residency but that still makes him a Doctor!), I think you need a specialist. Best of luck. And to all: They make these things called "books" now for entertainment? They are made of paper and they have a bunch of words on them. It's really weird but when you read them, you feel like you enter a real world with real people and you're right there in the middle of it and you never know what is going to happen! Sometimes I find myself laughing or crying or thinking about them years later. It's really cool. If you haven't tried one for a while, give it a go!!! All tongue in cheek and with love, Maddie

| Posted about 1 year ago Mzbrown! I play the sims2 can't wait for the sims3 to come out and sims apartment! I have soo much fun playing my little people my husband is ALWAYS laughing at me! I have made a sim of him and me and while I was creating them he jumped in and said "THATS NOT HOW YOU LOOK!" he spent HOURS looking at me and then looking at the game to get 'me' just right! I have had my graphics card crash on me multiple times and have pointed out to him I NEED A NEW COMPUTER after 2 'BLUE SCREENS OF DEATHS'! But until the thing goes caput in the middle of a raid he wont listen to me! It has crashed a few times when I am gaming with him, we play World of Warcraft together, my TRUE excuse of getting a new computer right now instead of waiting for it to die (and he knows it) of getting a new computer is for a game that my computer cant handle! Age of Connan can not run on my PC, I have been trying to think of ways to have its 'demise' happen faster than it already is without making it look like I did it on purpose. It will die some time this year but I wish it would HURRY UP I WANNA PLAY DAMN IT!!! We've lost internet before too, or the zones we play in go down and we look at each other and say 'what do we do now?' Followed by a trip to 'visit' my uncle only to hop on their computers and play.....sigh....its addictive this WoW.... |

| Posted about 1 year ago LeannO, I asked my fiance' how he went about getting his 360 repaired and this is what he said, "You have to call xbox customer support give them your serial number and they will let you know if the warantee is still good. They extended the warantee for most I think". I hope this helps. Need Breeds Ingenuity!

I had like this brain storm yesterday and shared it with my daughter but she said I'm just really off my rocker! I told her you could write a book about your Sim's character - I mean really - you do give them a life and all! She gets so upset when her character doesn't do something right. Like you know how they can't cook until you get them education on it - so don't buy them a grill because they will burn down the pool! Yes, they can burn the patio and the pool! LOL! Well, I was thinking you could write a book about playing "the creator", you know, it must be how God feels about us when we don't do what he wants us to! LOL! |

| Posted about 1 year ago Once in a while I confess I am mean to my sims (when I had a bad day....) I have put a grown up sim in with a baby sim and taken away the doors, I have beaten grim-reaper sim by 'calling' him on the phone! I have been caught as a peeping tom, I have cheated on my husby sim with a maid sim, etc. And yes, the robot sim did go berserk once. One guy told me he actually waited until his poor little sim went to bed then put a dresser RIGHT NEXT to the bed waited until all the sims' bars went red then removed the dresser. The sim got up cried peed and died! Now that is mean! Have you ever noticed that when they are on the treadmill they fall flat on their faces?!? Thats me at the gym I've planted it quite a few times so I ended up buying a treadmill so when I biff it, it can be in the privacy of my own house I do agree, right a story about your sim, do things that you would never do in real life, go wild, and remember its just a game and if they dont do what stick them in a room with baby twins and take away the doors!

| Posted about 1 year ago I never do anything crazy to my sims, but I've wanted to several times!!!...but I hate when they stand there waving their hand at me...it's like I told you to go use the bathroom a few minutes ago, you decided to watch tv, or take the long way around to get to the bathroom! When I first started playing the Sims, i had a sim that was far too playful. She got in the pool, and wouldn't get out...she drowned a few hours later...I laughed so hard when the tomb stone popped up on the screen, and all the sims came by crying over it! That game cracks me up!!! They do stupid stuff sometimes, especially if you don't take it off auto! oh my goodness...I just thought of one, I had a child that didn't go to school...far too playful as well...social services came and took him! LOL......I was like what the heck just happen! Oh, and what about those little scenarios that pop up while you are at work. Some of them are stupid, I've gotten fired a few times for doing the 'wrong' then...then the poor little sim comes home crying!!! LOL..... A Sims book?!?!? Uhm, interesting. I got some stories I could tell. Ms. Antoinette M. Brown I am a divine original fashioned by God to be radiantly beautiful! | Posted about 1 year ago Yeah, the red ring of death was apparently something that was really common for 360s when they first came out. They were getting hundreds of calls about it. I don't have a 360, but I heard about it on g4tv, the gaming channel (it's only the best channel ever).
Good luck getting it fixed though. If my Wii crashed, I would cry. ;-; |

| Posted about 1 year ago UPDATE! I contacted Microsoft and I do NOT have the Red Circle of Death. I just had one red quadrant of the circle and the E74 error for "hardware failure" - luckily for me, customer service said it is a console problem and not my hard drive! So that makes me happy because it means I get to keep all of my saved achievements and games! Yippee! (when you work so hard for those it would be really heartbreaking to see them all disappear - besides, they give me bragging rights) I removed my hard drive and sent my baby out with the nice looking UPS man today! (why do all UPS men only come in "hot"? Seriously, do they hire any ugly drivers?) I was told the turn around on this should be 2-3 weeks so let's hope so and let's hope it comes back to me all fixed! My warranty expired so it costs me $99 - but that includes the shipping and warranty on the repairs. I didn't find that unreasonable considering a new system is like $500. I will keep you posted..... |

| Posted about 1 year ago So Leanno, how many gamerpoints do you have? I don't have many, but I have enough to have more than my husband! I really don't know how that happened, he's plays way more than I do! I have little over 3000, and he has about 2600. He couldn't believe it when I showed him. my gamertag is oowildfloweroo if you wanna look me up or play sometime!(the oo are lowercase o's) It would be nice to have another friend besides my husband lol! | Posted about 1 year ago I don't play online because i'm too cheap to get high-speed (i live in a very rural area and the only option I have right now is cable modem and i don't even subscribe to cable t.v.). My oldest son keeps begging me to get it so we can play online together but i'm afraid it would make my gaming addiction too much for my husband to take!! hubby doesn't play games so he doesn't understand the hours of play i can do in one sitting! XBOX 360 update: Got an email from XBOX that they have received my console on July 9th! Hope to have it back soon. In the meantime, I hooked back up the old XBOX and was able to complete Myst III. I love the Myst games! Other than that I haven't really played too much...need the 360 back! Well, at least I'm getting some good art collages going again with my spare time and my flowers have barely any weeds in them - LOL! Got a nice tan going now! I guess it hasn't been too bad considering I had a whole week vacation at home and no 360 action - i survived anyways! |

I have recently completed the 3rd guitar hero on easy and tried on medium but can't get the stupid blue button down. GRRRRR- I will get it though. As for the Sims games my 11 year old is addicted to it. I startd on it and played for hours daily and when she asked me about it I educated her on it and now I don't have a chance to play anymore. LOL Keep gaming!!!! |
