| Posted about 1 year ago I would definitely consider my husband my soulmate. He's everything that I'm not- honestly. We balance each other out. When I think of "soulmate": I think of that one person that I can't live with out. The one I just mesh with. Growing old together; I guess a little cliche, but still...I think you just know when you're with them- the ONE. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I was sitting in my chair looking out the window. A man got out of a car and walked toward the door. I thought: "MINE!". I shook it off. Stupid. He walked in the door and my heart skipped, as he passed by me with no acknowledgement I thought: "That man will be very important to me, he will be my life". We were married three years to the day later. I can't help but think he is my soul-mate. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I think that it's when you're looking into his eyes and you see home. You just know with all your heart that this is where you were always meant to be, and that from now on you'll be right there. I heard it once said "you see your grandchildren in his eyes". You just know. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I have been having this discussion about "soul mates" with a dear friend of mine. My belief has always been there is a "soul mate" for everone, one person that is perfect in everyway. God gives us the opportunity to meet this person in our life, but we are the ones responsible to realizing who it is. Although, after speaking on this issue with my friend, I am beginning to believe a soul can have many mates, not just one of love. But a souls mate can be a friend or family member as well, someone who understands you, challenges you, shares your passions. I am leaning more towards this belief, because in this life it is a rare jewel when we meet those people. Carissa Ahlstrom |

| Posted about 1 year ago I want to believe that everyone has a soul mate out there. Maybe I just missed mine. The man that I am with right now, definatly is not a soul mate for me. But he has brought great joy into my life. And I am very happy with him. I am able to be very independant while being in love with him. Basically, considering where I am in my life right now, he is exactly what I need. I think there are many different people out there for us, and as far as lovers, maybe they are not always meant to be for life. I would love to find myself with my life long soul mate one day, if it is in the cards for me.

I think a person can have many "soul mates". To me it is another person who just gets you and has a connection with you that others just don't have. It doesn't have to be sexual. I consider my brother who died 3 years ago a soul mate. We have a connection to each other and I'm positive our souls will share other lives together, I do not have the same connection with my other two brothers. I also believe twins are soul mates and I think some times it is someone who we feel attraction to as well. It is a knowledge of someone that bends the rules of society in that we may never have spoken before but I get you and I know you deeper than physical acquaintance and camaraderie/companionship/friendship. |

| Posted about 1 year ago DH is my soul mate. We were friends long before we had our first date. He is the sweetest man on earth. His generous spirit is what attracted me to him. He is the type of person who is the first to raise his hand if someone needs help. We almost did not get married on time because I became ill before our wedding. I had a virus and could not eat solid food for a week. My Dad brought me diet ginger ale, and I did not check the label. I drank the entire bottle before I realized the soda was diet. I cannot tolerate artificial sweeteners and the diet soda prolonged my illness. DH bought me chicken broth and regular ginger ale, nursed me back to health, and I rallied. We had a small, intimate ceremony at the home of a friend. Throughout our marriage, he has been my best friend. When I had spinal surgery, he bought me a recliner since it was difficult for me to climb the stairs. He did all of the household chores, grocery shopping, chauffeured the kids to activities, rearranged his work schedule to drive me to PT, and took care of the bills and cooking, two chores he does not prefer. Thanksgiving was five weeks after I left the rehab ortho center; he went online and ordered a fully cooked meal so we could celebrate the holiday at home with our family. Together we have survived more downs than ups during our marriage, but our love endures and continues to grow. He jokes that when we are very old, he pictures us on an old-fashioned porch at a "Shady Brook" type retirement home. Even though we have been married for decades, we still cherish our love and delight in the simple pleasures in life because we have each other.

| Posted about 1 year ago As young as I am, I believe I have found my soulmate. Or should I say he found me. Our story is funny, but basically he found me and together we are awesome! Of course, there is that whole thing where I can look in his eyes for comfort and that I think about him at all times of the day. However, the thing I love about us is how we help each other out. He is always telling "whats up" and always being real with me. No matter how much it might hurt, we let each other know the bizness. lols. At my lowest, he's right there every step of the way and I do the exact same for him. I have my bestiie // main goon // partner in crime // clubbin buddy // sister from another mister... I have to believe she is my soulmate. So, of course there are more than one soulmates. I have two!! My bestiie and my hunny. I couldn't ask for anything more :) |

You know, I hadn't thought of friends as soul mates, but that is a good point. I have one friend, we just really connected right away, and have been fast and furious, really enjoying time together. Hours just fly. So, I guess she's my soul mate, too. Thanks for expanding my mind a bit. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I don't really believe in a soul-mate... Have had a total of 4 guys in my life starting from the first one and I am married to one of them but I have no clue of what is that... does soul-mate really exist or is it something somebody came up to describe a 'good feeling'? or is it a 'need' we have or we 'want'.. |

| Posted about 1 year ago well, I guess a soul mate is someone that you really connect with, really feel like you should be with. I never realized that it could apply to best mates, but I guess it does, because in my life, I've had several that I really just clicked with right away, and it was as if we had always been meant to be friends. They were the ones that if I hadn't moved away I would still be hanging out with. So, maybe it's alot bigger than just a man. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I have always had a tough time truly understanding what the tern "soul mate" meant. Past tense. I'm sure I know now because I have met mine and the way we found each other is SO incredible a story. I believe that my fiance' is my soul mate because the feelings I get are out of this world. When he rubs my face or my arm or where ever, it's almost as if he is touching something inside of me. When he looks at me it's like he's looking into me. When he kisses me I get dizzy. We finish each other's thoughts. I am so proud to say that I know I have met my match and soul mate! Need Breeds Ingenuity!

| Posted about 1 year ago When I'm standing on the pier watching the ship come in I can pick my husband out from all those wearing the same uniform, standing at attention on the ship. As soon as he see's me on the pier he gets this smile that tells me I've been spotted and my heart melts. When he finally walks down the brow and comes towards me I think, OH yah ladies this one is mine all mine. We've been married twice to each other, divorced for 3 years in between. Do I think he's my soul mate? Well he doesn't always get me, but he gets me enough that it works so yes I'd have to say he's my soul mate. I can't imagine another man making me feel the way he makes me feel just by looking at me:) Laurie "Good decisions come from wisdom, wisdom comes from experience, experience comes from making bad decisions." |

| Posted about 1 year ago I view soul mates as two people who share a quiet understanding that they belong together. Like pieces of a puzzle, they were meant to be connected. They may not even realize it at first, but as time passes, the things they go through together have a way of revealing and confirming this fact. And I do agree with those who commented that a soul mate does not necessarily have to be a spouse. It can be a close friend. |

| Posted 4 months ago Yeah he is no matter how much I don't want it. We are two peas in a pod as they say. I love him dearly and can't imagine my life without him no matter how pissed off he makes me. I think in the end we'll end up as really good friends but no matter what happens he'll be around and so will I. |

| Posted 3 months ago I would like to think "yes" because even though we have our up's and down's we are closer than ever and seem to be really serious and on my "dream path"
We both have had major changes in our lives before meeting one another and we are both so young it's hard to tell but everyday we feel closer to one another and I know I could never live without him.
Soul mate: questionable
I think someone who is a soul-mate is someone you can't live without and though my boyfriend maybe my soul-mate I also consider my two best girl friends to be also because they know me better than anyone and I can't live without them and they never let me down |

| Posted 3 months ago "If you want to attract a life partner as your soul mate, there are several illusions you will need to relinquish. One is that your soul mate is someone you will be with for the rest of your life. You can have a soul mate relationship that lasts a few weeks, months, or years. Time has nothing to do with the quality of your connection and its importance in your life." | Posted 3 months ago I don't think it's reasonable to expect every person to have one "soul mate." It simply doesn't work out that way. Things can happen in life that show you that a person will not be with you forever. While the idea is nice, I am not going to keep my hopes up that I will be with the same person for the rest of my life. I'd like to, but that's unrealistic at this point. I mean, you could find the perfect person, and get married, and have a nice life together; then, that perfect person might die (or you might die). You have to move on; you can't assume that you only had the one soul mate and that was it; this is the end of your line when it comes to relationships. Don't get me wrong, many people do that; when their spouse dies, they do not find another to marry. I'm not saying that there are always going to be multiple compatible partners. I think it mostly depends on you and where you are in life. You have to know what to expect and what to want from others. If you just don't have the personality to share a life, then you won't find that perfect person. If you dwell too much on a past relationship that ended for whatever reason, then you can never move on and keep living your life! |

I so agree with this. I've had many true loves in my life and am on my 2nd marriage. I believe this one compliments me in ways that the others have not but there are also some idiosyncracies that I could do with out. And vice versa. My only true soul-mate in my opinion is God. |
