I have my digital in my bag all the time so that I can take pictures of whatever strikes me as beautiful.  It's amazing how much beauty and art there is around us in the simplest things.  I saw a couple of roses in full bloom one day, sparkling with tiny, perfect raindrops and I didn't have my camera with me!  I don't make that mistake any more.  You can never predict where and when you will see the perfect shot.  I like to go to Asda, which is the same as your Wal-Mart, and edit my pictures on their digital computer so that I can make nice prints of them, but my favourite thing to do with the shots is download them onto my computer.  I can do all sorts of things with them then.  I don't mean altering them.  But making the most of the simple beauty in each shot.  What are your favourite things to do?

I love the art of photograhy as well. I don't carry my camera everyday, but most days I wish I had.

This is why I keep my camera in my bag all the time, so that I never miss a picture!  A friend of mine who is a photographer told me today that a really good photographer is never without his/her camera.

Well if your like me, I prefer a camera with more options than just a point and shoot. So, cheap camera in the gloove box but my nikon stays at home until needed. I love the thrill of the chase of intense thunderstorms. People think I'm crazy but the shots i get are jaw droppers.

I like my digital because it has many options for capturing pictures of all kinds.  I can play with it all day, and can take pictures with maximum resolution that I can then take home and play with.  I've taken some breath-taking sunsets and sunrises, and the moving water feature makes the beach pictures that much more amazing.  It's not the Pentax that I wanted, but it'll do for now.  Wouldn't you know, a few months after I bought mine, the Pentax went on sale!!

I take what some people call weird photos.  My last set which is a conversation stater is I had took face shots of my kids and grandkids, I then took close-up photos of their lips, eyes and ears.  The one has all the face shots and then the shots of ears, eyes and lips placed randonly.  So far everyone who has seen them tries to match the features to the face.  It has been fun watching them try and match them up.

My favorite one right now is of my 18 month old granddaughter straddling her playpen.  She was in no harm as she was trying to get in it.  What I found out after shooting the picture was she had on one elmo slipper and one pink tennis shoe.
